Peter Parrish is dropping down a level of competition but when it comes to Group of 5 programs, the former LSU signal-caller could not have done much better than the school he chose to continue his playing career.

Just days after officially entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal, Parrish has announced he will continue his college football career at Memphis under first-year coach Ryan Silverfield. Former Memphis coach Mike Norvell landed the Florida State job this offseason.

During his time in Baton Rouge, Parrish never saw the field for the Tigers.

Parrish was rated as the No. 11 dual-threat quarterback and a top 325 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle out of Central High School in Phenix City, Ala., when he signed with the Tigers.

The former four-star prospect had been suspended from LSU earlier this offseason and was not expected to join the team for fall camp prior to his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
