After just one tumultuous year, the LSU Tigers and OC Matt Canada have parted ways.
Now, coach Ed Orgeron and the Tigers have to find a new offensive coordinator, and it appears they’ll promote someone from within the organization.
According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, the Tigers plan to name Steve Ensminger the new offensive coordinator barring any setbacks at the last minute:
NEWS: School officials will not confirm the move and it is not yet final, but Ed Orgeron plans to make Steve Ensminger #LSU's offensive coordinator & elevate Jerry Sullivan, barring any last-minute snags https://t.co/RIthmGIrur

Ensminger is likely to have Jerry Sullivan as one of his top assistants if he gets the full-time job, which would also possibly net both a hefty pay raise.
What Canada’s next step is remains to be seen, but the Tigers and Coach O will apparently move on with Ensminger calling the plays in 2018 and beyond.
