Report: Former LSU RB Leonard Fournette goes unclaimed on waivers
By Adam Spencer
Published:
After trying (and failing) to find a trade partner for former No. 4 overall pick Leonard Fournette, the Jacksonville Jaguars officially released the former LSU star on Monday.
That sent him to the waiver wire, where all 31 other teams had a chance to put in a claim for the talented running back.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, no one wanted to take a flyer on Fournette, which means he is now a free agent:
Former Jaguars’ RB Leonard Fournette officially went unclaimed on waivers today, per source.
Fournette — who has rushed for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns since being drafted fourth overall in 2017 — is now a free agent.

Fournette’s time with the Jaguars was up and down, as he had some great games, but also battled injuries and often clashed with coaches and team executives.
Still, as we make our way toward Week 1 of the 2020 season, it seems probable that Fournette will end up somewhere this fall. We’ll find out over the next few days, potentially.
