Stephen Sullivan may have had to wait longer than he would have liked but when the phone call from an NFL team finally came, the former LSU tight end could not believe his moment had finally arrived.

When it did, it was Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider on the other end of the line breaking the news that Sullivan was about to be selected in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Seahawks pulled the trigger on Sullivan with the No. 251 overall selection in the draft, giving LSU a total of 14 selections during the event.

While some may scoff at being selected in the final round of the draft, Sullivan stands to earn a contract worth $2,710,490 according to Spotrac.

Not bad for a player that caught 12 passes for 130 yards last season.
