Perhaps the biggest flip of the Early Signing Period just happened.

Five-star wide receiver Rakim Jarrett announced he would be flipping from LSU and signing with Maryland. That’s a huge coup for Terrapins head coach, and former Alabama assistant, Mike Locksley.

Jarrett is ranked as the nation’s No. 20 overall player, the No. 2 overall receiver in the country and D.C.’s No. 2 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6-foot, 208-pound receiver had been committed to LSU since April of 2019, and now, during the Early Signing Period, Jarrett makes the huge surprise flip.

Jarrett previously mentioned that he wouldn’t be signing Wednesday; however, those plans changed.

Including Jarrett, two LSU prospects have now flipped to other schools during the Early Signing Period. The other one was Malcolm Greene, who signed with Clemson.
