Former LSU star Devin White has had a huge year. He won the Super Bowl in February, and now he’s returned to LSU to don the mortarboard and walk across the stage to receive his degree.
When White left for the NFL before his senior season, he said he would continue to pursue his bachelor’s degree so that he would become the first person in his family to graduate from a Division I university, The Advocate reported, and now he’s made good on that goal.
His LSU bio listed White as a sport administration major.
In the 2019 NFL Draft, he was the No. 5 overall draft pick and went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
White was the highest-drafted linebacker in LSU history and first Tiger linebacker selected in the first round since 1989 when Eric Hill was picked No. 10 overall. White was twice named permanent team captain for LSU in 2017 and 2018. He also won the Butkus Award as college football’s top linebacker in 2018, and was a consensus All-American.
