LSU landed a huge addition to its defensive front Monday as former Texas Tech defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko announced his next destination will be Baton Rouge. Fehoko picked the Tigers over Auburn, Georgia, and Ole Miss.

Fehoko announced the news via Twitter, here is his full statement regarding his decision:

The 6-foot-3, 287-pound Fehoko is not a graduate transfer, thus, he will be forced to sit out the 2017 season but he will have two years of eligibility to use with LSU starting in 2018. He was a four-star recruit in the 2015 recruiting cycle and was an Under Armour All-American coming out of high school. Fehoko rated as a Top 50 prospect and Hawaii’s No. 2 overall recruit in the 2015 recruiting cycle.

In two seasons with Texas Tech, Fehoko made 38 tackles, 7.5 for a loss, and had two sacks. It will be interesting to see how well the big lineman transitions to Dave Aranda’s defense but will have plenty of time to learn the new system after sitting out the upcoming season.
