In 2019, Joe Burrow arguably had the greatest season of any college quarterback in history. The Heisman Trophy winner threw for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns helping LSU to dominate opponents and win the national championship.

LSU caught lightning in a bottle with the Ohio State transfer Burrow, passing game coordinator Joe Brady and LSU’s terrific playmakers.

So, who’s the next Burrow? It’s likely we won’t see another Burrow for a long, long time — maybe ever. Senior Bowl Director Jim Nagy made an interesting comparison to Burrow Wednesday — Florida’s Kyle Trask.

Of course, Nagy isn’t guaranteeing Trask will get to Burrow’s level, but by merely mentioning Trask and Burrow in the same tweet is interesting. Does Trask have the ceiling or the arm strength as Burrow? Can Trask make all the throws like Burrow? It’s unlikely, but Trask’s accuracy and ability to find the right receiver was certainly impressive.

Trask threw for 2,941 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2019, his first season as a starter for the injured Feleipe Franks. It’s a solid assumption that Trask will make a jump in 2020, but how far?
