LSU has been without LB Arden Key for the first two games of the season, but it was reported Monday that Key is cleared to play in Saturday’s game against Mississippi State.

Key is making his return from shoulder surgery after a dynamic season as a sophomore in 2016. He posted LSU’s single-season record for sacks with 12 last season while also recording 14.5 tackles for loss.

Key was a first-team All-SEC player in 2016 after being named a freshman All-American in 2015.

The No. 12 Tigers are set to begin SEC play against MSU Saturday night, and Coach O announced Monday that Key was cleared for full-contact work.
