The LSU Tigers were spurned by Tom Herman last offseason, so instead turned to plan B, giving the job to former interim coach Ed Orgeron.

Now entering his second full season as the Tigers’ coach, though, the pressure is already on for Coach O and the Tigers.

As you can see below, Paul Finebaum and Matt Barrie talked about which SEC coach is on the hottest seat, and after mentioning Derek Mason at Vanderbilt, Finebaum explained why Coach O’s seat is pretty warm, too:

“I think the one people are wondering about is Ed Orgeron,” he said. “Remember, he took over for Les Miles two years ago after four games. He had a pretty good season, not great. He got the job on a full-time basis after Tom Herman left the LSU faithful at the altar. Last year, there were some good things, but there were some terrible things like losing to Troy, another loss to Alabama, which has been expected now since 2011. A bad season — and Vegas has him right now at about the 7-win mark — Matt, that would mean problems.”

The Tigers have plenty of question marks on offense entering the 2018 season, so things won’t be easy for Coach O this fall. If he struggles, he may start to hear it from LSU fans.
