Three years ago today, the LSU Tigers baseball team was trailing Arkansas 9-4 with only a couple of innings left.

That’s when the Rally Possum showed up, evading Arkansas players until the LSU grounds crew was able to capture it and remove it from the field.

Naturally, the Tigers rallied after that, winning the game 10-9 in extra innings. On Tuesday, the SEC Network celebrated the three-year anniversary of the possum’s appearance, as you can see below:

The Tigers have a three-game series against the Razorbacks this weekend in Fayetteville. Arkansas leads the SEC West with a 17-7 conference record, while LSU sits in fourth place in the West at 14-10.

A sweep would help the Tigers greatly, so we’ll see if the Rally Possum makes the trip north this weekend to give its team a big boost.
