What Ed Orgeron said after LSU's loss to Florida
Ed Orgeron met with reporters following LSU’s 27-19 loss at Florida on Saturday.
Some key stats were LSU had three turnovers to Florida’s one. And Florida outgained LSU 391-371 in total yards, including 215-180 in rushing.
Orgeron admitted that LSU had trouble protecting QB Joe Burrow, and the LSU receivers had trouble with drops.
Before a last-minute interception returned for a touchdown, Florida used a nine-play drive that took 4:03 off the clock, which was a turning point in Orgeron’s mind.

Orgeron: The team that won the line of scrimmage and won the turnover battle won the game.
We couldn’t protect. We tried every single protection we had. It didn’t work. And when it did we didn’t catch the call.

Orgeron said the decision to kick on 4th and short was based on how much trouble LSU had getting the run established.
