Jim Harbaugh is reportedly scheduled to interview with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday for their head coaching vacancy. While there is a report suggesting that Harbaugh would sign with the Vikings if offered, the father of an incoming freshman offered more insight.

Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News reportedly spoke with Deon Johnson, whose son William is a 5-star cornerback who signed with Michigan in December.

Deon said Harbaugh spoke to his son Monday on maybe going to NFL: “He told William he was definitely looking and if an opportunity came up, he was probably going to take it. (Harbaugh) told him he felt the team was gonna be good, they’re gonna win a lot of ballgames, they’re gonna do a lot of good things. But he wants to chase a Super Bowl. That’s one of the things on his list is to be a Super Bowl-winning coach.”

In 7 seasons with the Wolverines, Harbaugh is 61-24. He finally beat Ohio State in 2021 and went on to capture the Big Ten championship. That special season came following an offseason where he took a pay cut, and re-tooled his coaching staff, most notably by hiring Baltimore Ravens assistant Mike Macdonald, who has since returned to the Ravens in recent days, according to reports.
