JaVonta Payton has been a popular figure in recruiting circles around the SEC in recent weeks.

Payton is a 3-star junior college wide receiver and a Nashville native who currently plays for Northwest Mississippi Community College. He de-committed from Ole Miss last month, and is considered a Tennessee target. But he also tweeted a picture of a visit to Mississippi State on Saturday with former Clemson QB Kelly Bryant.

“Find me a true brother this weekend,” he tweeted.

Payton has eight offers, and is the No. 3 JUCO wide receiver in the country, according to the 247 Sports Composite.

Kelly, meanwhile, is the most coveted quarterback transfer this season, and is considering several SEC schools with a decision coming in early December. In the SEC, he is considering Auburn, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Missouri.

If coach Joe Moorhead can sign these two, the Bulldogs’ recruiting class will get a jolt from its current No. 10 ranking in the SEC.
