Details of Joe Moorhead’s contract with Mississippi State were released on Thursday.

The Bulldogs moved quickly to find their next head coach in the wake of Dan Mullen’s departure to Florida. It was announced on Sunday that Mullen was accepting an offer to become the head coach of the Gators after leading MSU to 69 wins since 2009.

Mississippi State had a quick turn around and wasted no time in finding its next head coach. It was reported Tuesday that Moorhead, OC at Penn State since 2016, was headed to the Bulldogs, and he was officially announced as the new head coach on Wednesday.

Details of Moorhead’s contract were released Thursday with a number of performance incentives featured throughout. He would receive a $50,000 bonus for being named SEC Coach of the Year and $100,000 for being named National Coach of the Year. His base salary will begin at $2.6 million for 2018.
