Mississippi State’s cowbells are routinely an issue for opposing fans, and in this case, bowl destinations. But the Liberty Bowl has cleared up any question about if the Bulldogs’ favorite noisemakers are welcome in Memphis.
The Liberty Bowl shared on social media that it has received questions about the issue, and told MSU fans, “You bring yours, we’ll bring ours.”

The announcement is a change of tune from the regular season game there for MSU when Memphis appeared to lead the decision to not allow the cowbells. The Bulldogs lost that game, 31-29 to Memphis on Sept. 18.

It will be a big reunion for coach Mike Leach against Texas Tech, where he led his teams to bowl games in all 10 seasons coaching the Red Raiders, and part of 18 bowl game appearances out of 20 years as a head coach for Leach.
