Mississippi State gutted out a 39-33 victory in overtime against Auburn on Saturday. Mississippi State coach Mike Leach was proud of the way his team battled to earn victory No. 6 on the season.

On Sunday, Leach shouted out his Players of the Game on Twitter. Laquinston Sharpe earned “The Bone”, Jaden Crumedy and JP Purvis were given “Tough Man”, Esaias Furdge and Austin Williams collected “The Mechanics” and for “Special Teams” it was Tulu Griffin and Massimo Biscardi.

“All wins are hard. All SEC wins are hard. Played our best when we needed it most,” Leach wrote. “Proud of the grit we displayed. Hail State!”

Crumedy made 3 tackles, including a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss. Furdge collected 4 tackles and had 2 pass deflections. Williams caught 6 receptions for 37 yards. Biscardi connected on 2 of his 3 field goal attempts with a long of 44 and made all 3 of his extra points.

Next up for Mississippi State is a home contest against No. 3 Georgia on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/ESPN). Georgia leads the all-time series 19-6, with wins in the last 3 meetings.
