Mississippi State has produced plenty of fireworks to open a weekend series with Alabama, and the Bulldogs pulled off another comeback Saturday evening.
Friday’s game saw an extra innings nail-bitter with Mississippi State walking off the Crimson Tide in 10 innings. Saturday’s game did not need extras, but it came down to a wild 9th inning.
Alabama scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning to take a 7-4 lead over the Bulldogs. That lead did not hold up with Mississippi State tying it in short order.
The Bulldogs opened the bottom of the 9th inning with 3 straight hits, including a 2-run, game-tying home run from Logan Tanner.
