Mississippi State wide receiver Zavion Thomas has reportedly struck a significant NIL deal, even with the Bulldogs teetering on the edge of being knocked out of the bowl conversation and the program in the hunt for a new head coach following the firing of Zach Arnett.

According to Brett McMurphy, Thomas has signed a deal with Google. It comes as the Bulldog Initiative, Mississippi State’s NIL collective, has a matching $1 million challenge as part of its “Winning Drive” program thanks to several donors connected to the university.

Thomas, through 9 games this season, looks to be a player to watch in 2024 for the Bulldogs, making 31 catches for 349 yards and a touchdown this year. On Oct. 28 against Auburn, he set a career-high in catches (9) and yards (112).

Mississippi State is currently 4-6. It faces Southern Miss on Saturday and wraps up its season in the Egg Bowl vs. Ole Miss on Thanksgiving evening in Starkville.
