Not much has been going right for the Mississippi State Bulldogs the past two weeks, as lopsided losses to Georgia and Auburn have stalled momentum following a big win over LSU.

However, coach Dan Mullen’s squad got some great news on Sunday evening, as the Bulldogs landed a commitment from a 4-star 2018 defensive end.

Jaden Crumedy — a Hattiesburg, Mississippi, native — announced his commitment decision with a picture of a cake on Twitter:

According to 247Sports, Crumedy is the No. 12 weak-side defensive end in the class of 2018 and the No. 3 overall recruit from the state of Mississippi.

With Crumedy’s commitment, the Bulldogs now have the No. 6 recruiting class in the SEC and the No. 17 class nationally, per 247Sports.
