If you missed the big news in college football on Thursday, the NCAA has handed down a one-year postseason ban on Barry Odom’s Missouri football program.

The decision came after a tutor was found to have illegally completed some course work for 12 student-athletes in multiple sports over a one year span. The Committee on Infractions has also expressed its interest in the NCAA allowing seniors on the team to transfer without having to sit out a season due to the upcoming postseason ban.

Missouri AD Jim Sterk has already come out against the NCAA’s ruling and plans to appeal the decision.

For the first time, Odom has released a statement. Missouri’s head coach is also strongly opposed to the NCAA’s decision and looks forward to the school’s appeal process. He released his statement via this graphic on his Twitter page:
