Friday’s Cotton Bowl action between Ohio State and Missouri has left a lot to be desired for anyone with a pulse who enjoys quality football.

Some of it for the Buckeyes relates to a key injury to starting quarterback Devin Brown. Brown was making his first career start but was injured and replaced by true freshman QB Lincoln Kienholz in the second quarter.

The issues for the Tigers are more related to inconsistencies offensively, and some questionable playcalling. Ohio State’s defense has been flying around, but Brady Cook is just 5-for-11 passing for 28 yards. Luther Burden had 1 catch for just 5 yards in the first half.

Regardless of what went into the struggles for both teams, the action has been borderline unwatchable. The two sides have combined for 12 punts, 1 field goal and less than 200 yards of total offense.

It’s hard for anyone to sit through those types of numbers, and fans on social media have been predictably unkind. Take a look:
