Desireé Reed-Francois, Missouri athletic director, agrees to contract extension
Desireé Reed-Francois has signed a 1-year contract extension with Missouri through 2028, the university announced on Thursday morning.
“Her devotion to our student-athletes and coaches is unsurpassed,” Missouri chancellor Mun Choi said in a press release. “We look forward to incredible successes under her leadership.”
The Tigers’ athletic director has been at the helm since 2021. Over the past 2 years, Reed-Francois has overseen back-to-back bowl berths for Missouri’s football program. Reed-Francois also hired men’s basketball coach Dennis Gates, who led the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament in Year 1.
“This is a reflection of the incredible work of our team over the last eighteen months, along with the dedication of a passionate fan base,” Reed-Francois said in a press release.

Expectations for Mizzou athletics are expected to remain high moving forward. Mizzou will be hoping to take another step forward this season after back-to-back 6-win seasons under Eli Drinkwitz.
The extension runs through June 30, 2028.
