Missouri has not had a strong start to the 2022-23 season.
The Tigers are 1-1 following an opening week victory against Louisiana Tech followed by a embarrassing beatdown via Kansas State. There’s been plenty of talk throw Drinkwitz’s way, the players’ way and the program’s way.
Drinkwitz is trying to block out the noise and toxicity. He paraphrased Bill Parcells’ famous quote: “Losers assemble in little groups and complain about the coaches and the players in other little groups. But winners assemble as a team.”
Drinkwitz meeting with media, paraphrases Bill Parcells, says, “Losers assemble in groups and complain. I’d add get on Twitter and message boards.” Said Mizzou has to ignore “the toxicity” out there after Saturday.
