It came as a shock to many when former Missouri standout Jeremy Maclin was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs 10 days ago.

However, Maclin landed on his feet Monday when the Baltimore Ravens announced that they had signed Maclin to a new two-year deal.

After being cut by the Chiefs, Maclin also visited the Bills and Eagles before making his final decision. According to ESPN, Maclin’s decision came down to the Ravens and Eagles, and the Ravens are certainly excited to have him, specifically Joe Flacco.

It’s a shame that SEC fans weren’t fully exposed to Maclin’s career in Columbia, Missouri, because he was a star; however, Big 12 fans fully remember his impact and play-making ability. In two seasons with the Missouri Tigers — he missed his freshman year with a knee injury, Maclin caught 182 passes for 2,315 yards and 22 touchdowns, as well as adding 668 yards rushing and six touchdowns. He was also a dynamic returner totaling five touchdowns and over 2,000 yards on kickoff returns.

Maclin has recorded 474 catches for 6,319 yards and 46 touchdowns in seven career NFL seasons.
