A week after former Missouri quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. indicated he had left the Tigers, a report surfaced on Friday detailing Scott’s future plans.

According to Mike Gegenheimer of The Houma Courier, Scott has transferred to Nicholls, an FCS school in the Southland Conference. Scott will not play in the Colonels’ road matchup against Prairie View A&M on Saturday.

Nicholls has road games each of the following two weeks against Stephen F. Austin and Texas State, so it’s possible Scott could make his Colonels debut in one of those contests.

Scott never played at Missouri, as he lost to Taylor Powell in a competition for the backup quarterback job during this year’s fall camp. He started his career at LSU in 2016, when he redshirted, before going to East Mississippi Community College for one season.

Scott, a native of Zachary, La., will now head back to his home state when he joins Nicholls.
