Lindsey Scott Jr.’s time at Missouri appears to be over.

According to Nick Kelly of the Columbia Missourian, Scott has left the Tigers program as of Friday. That appeared to be confirmed when Scott made an Instagram post with the caption “MIZ,” followed by a peace symbol emoji. The quarterback is also no longer listed on Missouri’s football roster.

Scott competed with Taylor Powell for the backup quarterback job during fall camp, but Powell ended up winning the competition. Then, ahead of the Tigers’ season opener against Wyoming, head coach Barry Odom said that Scott was looking to transfer.

Scott started his college career at LSU, where he redshirted in 2016. He then went to East Mississippi Community College for one season before he transferred to Missouri. Scott never got any playing time while he was with the Tigers.

With Scott leaving, Missouri’s quarterback depth chart now features starter Kelly Bryant, Powell and freshman Connor Bazelak.

While Scott will likely transfer to a different school, the Tigers will move on without him. Missouri plays its home opener against West Virginia on Saturday at noon ET on ESPN2.
