The Tennessee Volunteers took down South Carolina to start the 2020 season last weekend. Next up, the Vols host the Missouri Tigers on Saturday.
The Tigers lost to No. 2 Alabama, but showed some flashes of promise during the 38-19 loss. Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt noticed.
During his Wednesday press conference, Pruitt praised Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz’s creativity on offense:
Pruitt: Coach Drinkwitz is very creative on offense. They spread the ball around, stretch you horizontally and vertically. Gotta find ways to create turnovers and hold them to field goals.

He also had some kind words for Mizzou QB Shawn Robinson, who didn’t have much time to throw against Alabama, but made some nice plays:
Pruitt on Missouri QB Shawn Robinson: Shawn's a guy that can extend plays. Looks like he has good arm strength. Have to control him in the pocket.

Tennessee is favored to win on Saturday, but it’s clear Pruitt isn’t taking the Tigers lightly as they prepare for the game. We’ll see which team comes out stronger on Saturday afternoon.
