Eli Drinkwitz was tight-lipped earlier this week when he discussed with reporters Connor Bazelak’s injury status and availability for Saturday’s game at Georgia.

Now a report from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports said that Bazelak won’t play, and the Tigers will turn to Brady Cook and Tyler Macon to face the Bulldogs. The specifics of Bazelak’s injury are unknown, but Drinkwitz earlier called it a “soft tissue injury.” He left Missouri’s game at Vanderbilt last week when he was tackled on a quarterback keeper.

Bazelak has started the past 16 Missouri games behind center, including all eight this season.

Macon didn’t attempt a pass against the Commodores, but he rushed twice for 8 yards and a touchdown.

Macon has appeared in 2 games this season, while Cook just against Southeast Missouri State. Cook is 5-for-5 passing for 29 yards and a touchdown. Macon is 3-for-4 passing for 69 yards and a TD.
