Mizzou among teams participating in prestigious early-season tournament in 2023, per report

Mizzou is entering Year 1 with Dennis Gates as its men’s basketball coach, hiring him to replace Cuonzo Martin.
The Tigers have done some good work in the transfer portal and on the recruiting trails already under Gates, and now it has been announced they’ll play in a big early season tournament.
Per college hoops insider Jon Rothstein, the 2023-24 Tigers will play in the 2023 Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City, along with Creighton:

This year’s Hall of Fame Classic will feature Wichita State, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, and Northern Iowa.
The other 2 teams joining Creighton and Mizzou next year in Kansas City have yet to be determined.
