Former Mizzou standout Markus Golden has a new NFL home.

The former Cardinals defender is signing a one-year deal with the New York Giants, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Golden signed with the Giants over interest from the Chiefs, Raiders and Buccaneers.

Golden has played the last four seasons with the Cardinals, racking up 122 tackles and 19 sacks. The former Mizzou pass rusher tore his ACL in 2017, and he’s struggled to regain his form since the injury.

During his senior season, Golden and Shane Ray became one of the nation’s most dynamic pass-rushing duos, as they both racked up double digit sacks.

The St. Louis, Missouri, native was drafted in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cardinals.
