Tyler Macon, former 4-star recruit at QB for Missouri, announces transfer destination

Tyler Macon entered the transfer portal after 2 seasons on the Missouri roster. The East St. Louis, Ill. quarterback signed with the Tigers out of the 2021 class as a 4-star recruit but saw little playing time during his stint in Columbia.
Macon will now look to resume his collegiate career in the FCS ranks. He announced on his Twitter account on Wednesday that he has committed to play at Alcorn State:

Macon appeared in 3 games and started once as a true freshman in 2021, completing 9 of his 17 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded a rushing touchdown and 50 yards on 13 carries. In 2022, he played in 3 games but did not attempt a pass. Macon was the No. 34 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2021 and the No. 9 player in the state of Illinois when he signed with the Tigers.
Alcorn State was 5-6 in the 2022 season, finishing with a 4-4 mark in SWAC play.
