As the SEC Tournament enters the semifinal round in Hoover, the NCAA Tournament field is starting to solidify.
Following a 4-3 loss to LSU in the quarters on Friday night, Texas A&M’s run appears to be officially over. In the latest bracket projection from Baseball America, the Aggies were included in the “next 4 out” category, well below the cut line. Had Texas A&M beaten LSU, it would have garnered consideration for an at-large bid. Instead, things look bleak for the Aggies.
On the other end of the bracket, Ole Miss looks to have secured itself a hosting position after beating Arkansas to make the SEC Tournament semis. Baseball America moved the Rebels up from a 2-seed on Friday to the 16th overall seed, displacing Georgia Tech.
In total, 13 SEC teams are projected to make the Field of 64. That includes 8 teams in a position to host.
- Texas: No. 1 overall seed
- Vanderbilt: No. 2 overall
- Arkansas: No. 3 overall
- LSU: No. 5 overall
- Georgia: No. 6 overall

- Alabama: 2-seed in the Tallahassee Regional
- Florida: 2-seed in the Conway Regional

The ACC has 10 projected bids, with North Carolina, Florida State, and Clemson projected to host regionals.
- North Carolina: No. 4 overall seed
- Florida State: No. 10 overall
- Clemson: No. 11 overall
- NC State: 2-seed in the Austin Regional

- Wake Forest: 2-seed in the Auburn Regional
