The latest college baseball rankings for the week of May 5 are out, with the folks at D1Baseball dropping their latest poll on Monday morning. In spite of a rough week, Texas maintained its No. 1 spot with other key teams in the country also struggling.

Over the weekend, the Longhorns were swept on the road by Arkansas, with the Razorbacks rising all the way to No. 7 after their impressive win. Texas went 1-3 overall last week, but other programs struggling kept the Longhorns at No. 1 in the country.

LSU, last week’s No. 2 team, was unable to ascend to No. 1 overall after a series loss on the road to Texas A&M. The Tigers went 2-2 over the week to drop to No. 3.

Florida State is the nation’s new No. 1 team while North Carolina (No. 4) and Oregon (No. 5) round out the top 5. Meanwhile, Tennessee continues to slide, down to No. 15 this week, after losing 2 of 3 at home to Auburn.

In the latest College World Series odds, Arkansas is the favorite at DraftKings with the Razorbacks coming in at +400 to win it all. In spite of their struggles, the Vols are 2nd at +600 while LSU is No. 3 at +700. Be sure to track all the odds through the best sports betting apps with the postseason right around the corner.
