A 6-3, 195-pound left-hander from Eagan, Minnesota, he made 24 appearances last season out of the bullpen. One of those appearances was against LSU on March 4. He faced 7 batters over 1.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 1 hit and 1 walk.

The number that immediately jumps off the page with Lachenmayer is 56 strikeouts over 38 innings of work. He posted a 2.37 ERA with an opposing batting average of .192, allowing 13 runs (10 earned) over 154 batters faced.
As a reliever, Lachenmayer did not log an outing longer than 3.1 IP. He collected 9 saves.
