After a standout freshman season at Oregon, Angel Laya is continuing his college career on the bayou. He announced his commitment to LSU on Friday via social media.

An outfielder, Laya is listed as measuring 6-3 and 206 pounds on the Oregon roster. The San Diego native will be a sophomore in 2027.
Last season, Laya slashed .296/.396/.538, collecting 47 RBIs. A 59-game starter, Laya had 66 hits on the season, including 14 home runs and 10 doubles. Laya also got on base with 27 walks and 10 HBPs.
