Georgia Tech’s 2025-26 season is over, and the program will reportedly have a new head coach for the 2026-27 campaign.

Damon Stoudamire is out as the head coach of the Yellow Jackets, according to college basketball insider Jeff Goodman. Stoudamire was the head coach for the past 3 seasons.

Georgia Tech posted an overall record of 11-20 this season. The Yellow Jackets were just 2-16 in ACC play. By finishing last in the 18-team league, Georgia Tech missed the cut for the ACC Tournament. The top 15 teams will play in Charlotte beginning Tuesday.

Stoudamire had a 42-55 record at Georgia Tech. He only guided the Yellow Jackets to the postseason once, making the NIT last year during a 17-17 season.

A former Arizona star, Stoudamire was a first-round NBA Draft pick in 1995. He played professionally until 2008.

After his playing career, Stoudamire got into coaching. He was an assistant at the college and pro levels before landing the Pacific head coaching job in 2016. He had a 71-77 record coaching Pacific from 2016-21.
