Alabama is making another splash for the 2025 recruiting class, landing a key big man for the cycle on Friday.

According to Travis Branham with 247 Sports, Nate Oats and his Crimson Tide staff landed a commitment from Collins Onyejiaka. A 6-foot-10 center out of The Newman School in Boston, Massachusetts, Onyejiaka was originally a member of the 2026 recruiting class but will reportedly reclassify to join Alabama for the 2025-26 season.

Prior to his commitment, Onyejiaka held offers from multiple high-major programs, including Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia and Providence.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Onyejiaka was a 4-star recruit and the 11th overall center in the country prior to his reclassification. He was also the 95th overall player in the country for the 2026 recruiting class.

Prior to the addition of Onyejiaka, Alabama held the 15th overall recruiting class in the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to the 247 Sports Team Composite. The 3 players the Crimson Tide landed were all top-100 prospects for the cycle, including 4-star forward London Jemison as the 38th overall player in the country.

Onyejiaka adds to what should be a new-look frontcourt for the Tide next season after adding 2 prominent big men via transfer. Those players are Taylor Bol Bown (FSU) and 7-footer Noah Williamson (Bucknell), both of which received 4-star transfer ratings from 247 Sports.
