The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s hoops program is currently in the hunt for the SEC regular season crown under second-year head coach John Calipari, currently sitting at No. 21 in the AP rankings and holding an 18-6 record.
As Calipari has done for so many years, the top-flight recruiter is finding ways to translate his team’s success on the court this season into continued success on the recruiting trail for the 2026 cycle.
Cal already signed 2 of the nation’s top prep players in the 2026 cycle back in January, and he added the commitment of another on Saturday in the form of 5-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr.
The 6’2, 200-pound athletic guard is currently rated as the third-best player in the entire country, and committed to Cal and the Hogs over several other top-flight programs, including Louisville, Kentucky, and Duke.
The Fairfax, Virginia native possesses all the physical tools to excel at the collegiate level as a guard on both ends of the court, including elite athleticism, dynamic scoring ability, and dynamic defense.
With Smith’s commitment, Arkansas now has the fifth-ranked recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, a class that includes fellow 5-stars JJ Andrews and Abdou Toure.
