Arkansas reportedly loses rotation player to transfer portal
Sophomore Arkansas wing Karter Knox plans to enter the transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Joe Tipton.
The 6-foot-6 Knox appeared in 22 games for the Razorbacks this season, his second with the program. Knox had surgery to repair a meniscus injury in February and did not play again. He’ll have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Knox was initially expected to go to Kentucky during the 2024 recruiting cycle. He was a Wildcat commit until coach John Calipari left the school to take the Arkansas job. Knox, whose brother, Kevin, also played for Calipari at Kentucky, decided to follow the head coach to Fayetteville.

Knox appeared in 36 games as a true freshman, making 24 starts. In 24 minutes a night, he shot 46.2% from the field and posted averages of 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Knox briefly tested the NBA Draft class before opting to return to Arkansas for another year.
As a sophomore, Knox made 18 starts in 22 appearances but saw his playing time dip ever so slightly. He still scored 8.1 points per game, upped his rebounding to 4.5 per contest, and upped his 3-point percentage from 35.0% to 37.7%, but did so in just 22.2 minutes per contest.
Knox also considered Louisville during his initial recruitment. He is the first player from the 2025-26 Razorbacks to hit the portal.
