Former Louisville men’s basketball staffer Brian Kloman is headed to Auburn, according to The Courier Journal. Kloman was Louisville’s executive director of player personnel and strategic initiatives and he’ll serve in a similar position at Auburn for head coach Steven Pearl.

In a social media post, Kloman expressed excitement about joining Auburn while thanking Louisville for the opportunity the last couple years.

“This move to Auburn is about fulfilling a dream I’ve had for a long time — one I get to chase alongside a dear friend who has meant so much to my journey,” Kloman said. “It was an incredibly difficult decision — but one made with full respect for everything Louisville has given me.”

Kloman was Pat Kelsey’s longest-tenured staff member at 12 consecutive seasons spanning Winthrop, Charleston, and Louisville. The duo had a 278-111 record during their highly successful partnership.

Meanwhile, Auburn went 19-16 this season in Steven Pearl’s first season at the helm, replacing his legendary father Bruce Pearl. Auburn ended up on the wrong side of the bubble and missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2020. The elder Pearl led Auburn from 2014-2025, including trips to the Final Four in 2019 and his final season.

For now, Auburn is trying to win the NIT. Here’s a look at the latest Kalshi market:
