Auburn to be without 4 players for matchups in Greece, per report

Auburn basketball is currently in Greece for a 2-game foreign tour, the Tigers’ first since the summer of 2022.
The Tigers are set to face off against KK Mega Basket on August 8 and August 9 at Chanioti Ano Mera Indoor Hall in Mykonos. Mega Basket is a Serbian pro team, which should offer some great competition before the start of Steven Pearl’s second season as Auburn’s head coach.
According to Auburn writer Justin Ferguson, the Tigers are set to be without 4 players for their matchups on Saturday and Sunday. Mantas Rubstavicius and Narcisse Ngoy are being held out as they await their pending eligibility for the 2026-27 season. In addition, Creighton transfer Owen Freeman (foot) and former Eastern Kentucky/Vanderbilt guard George Kimble (hand) are also being held out as they deal with injury issues.

Rubstavicius and Ngoy could be two of the most impactful additions of the offseason for the Tigers. Rubstavicius played in Lithuania and in the EuroLeague, while Ngoy hails from France and, to his surprise, was selected late in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft. The Hawks soon traded his draft rights to the Clippers, but he re-affirmed his commitment to play for Auburn in 2026-27, forgoing a professional route for now.
According to Auburn basketball’s official website, both games against KK Mega Basket are not available to be streamed.
