Arkansas forward Billy Richmond is expected to return to Fayetteville for the 2026-27, according to a report.
College basketball insider Jon Rothstein shared that news on Wednesday evening — just before the deadline for early-entrants to withdraw from the 2026 NBA Draft while maintaining eligibility.
Per Rothstein, Richmond initially decided to stay in the 2026 NBA Draft but reversed that choice less than an hour later. Rothstein cited a conversation with Richmond’s agent, Bill Duffy.

Richmond’s decision to return to Arkansas is a huge boost for the Razorbacks and their Final Four aspirations. Arkansas will now enter next season with a chance to compete at the top of the SEC.
For Richmond, he tested well at the NBA combine and could play his way into being a 2027 first-round pick if he shows improvement as a shooter next season. This past year, Richmond shot just 26% from 3-point range.
His return to Arkansas should help establish the Razorbacks as an elite defensive team with a chance to compete deep into the NCAA Tournament next spring.
