College basketball DFS picks: 3 Underdog plays for Saturday’s SEC slate (Feb. 14)
It’s time for another loaded slate of SEC basketball.
All 16 teams are back in action on Saturday and most games have NCAA Tournament implications for both teams. The headliner is a matchup between Kentucky and Florida at 3:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
As usual, this story will highlight 3 college basketball DFS picks to consider on Underdog Fantasy. Last week’s picks went 2-1.
College Basketball DFS predictions
Let’s break down DFS picks for Saturday, Feb. 14 on Underdog:
Boogie Fland higher than 11.5 points
This is a huge game for Florida. The Gators are hosting a Kentucky team in a top 25 matchup in a game that will go a long way toward determining the SEC’s regular season champ. Florida is currently in first place with a 9-2 record, but the Wildcats are just 1 game back at 8-3.
I like Fland to clear his points projection in this game because his minutes and efficiency have ticked up lately. Despite a slow start to SEC play, Fland is shooting 58% from 2-point range and has played at least 31 minutes in all but 1 of those games (the exception being a massive blowout win over South Carolina). The concern is Fland is in a huge shooting slump and is just 1 for his last 17 from downtown. He’s taking fewer 3-pointers overall, though, so his overall efficiency is still in a pretty good place. I like Fland’s odds to score at least 12 in this matchup.

Nijel Pack higher than 16.5 points
It’s been a forgettable season for Oklahoma, but the Sooners are actually favored against Georgia on Saturday (possibly due to Jeremiah Wilkinson’s absence). Pack is a big reason why. He’s been red-hot lately, averaging 18.6 points per game on 59% effective field goal percentage in his last 5 contests. Pack has made multiple 3-pointers in all 5 of those games and has taken at least 13 total shots in 4 of them. Opportunity and shot volume shouldn’t be an issue.
Sebastian Williams-Adams lower than 10.5 points
This projection looks high for the Auburn forward. Sebastian Williams-Adams is not a high volume scorer with a usage rate of just 14% on the season. He scored 11 points last time out, but that required him attempting a whopping 9 shots, which tied a season high. Williams-Adams hasn’t scored more than 12 points in a game since game No. 2 against Merrimack way back on Nov. 6. There’s very little upside for more than 11 or 12 points here. Given the projection of 10.5, I’d expect he’ll score lower than that total more often than not. He’s gone below 10.5 points in 18 of 24 games this season (7 of 11 in SEC play).
