We have 3 SEC games on Tuesday night and 5 on Wednesday, but don’t overlook the slate on Feb. 24. Mizzou hosts Tennessee in search of bubble security. Auburn heads to Oklahoma in search of a winning streak. And Kentucky heads to South Carolina looking to halt a 3-game losing streak. Action all across the board should be good.
Let’s take a look at some DFS angles to attack.

South Carolina F Mike Sharavjamts lower than 10.5 points vs. Kentucky
South Carolina snapped a 7-game losing streak over the weekend with a 98-89 win over Mississippi State at home. The Gamecocks got 21 points from lead guard Meechie Johnson and another 21 from forward Mike Sharavjamts. For the latter, the scoring outburst was his first 20-point game of the season. He knocked down 6 of his 8 shots from the field and 8 of his 10 free throws. MSU couldn’t defend without fouling to save its life, putting Johnson and Sharavjamts on the line a combined 20 times. Johnson has been the engine for this SC offense all year. Sharavjamts has been far more supplementary. Prior to Saturday, he had scored fewer than 11 points in 7 of his previous 10 games. During that stretch, he averaged only 2.2 foul shots per contest and a 37.2% field goal rate from the floor. This seems like a natural come-back-to-earth spot against a Kentucky team that will probably be playing angry after the way the Auburn result ended.

Mizzou G T.O. Barrett higher than 1.5 steals vs. Tennessee
The Tigers are doing the salsa with the NCAA Tournament bubble. They won 4 of 5 to revive their tourney chances, then hosted Texas and got blown out in the second half, suffering a major blow. Then they beat Vanderbilt for a Quad 1 win. Then they lost on the road at Arkansas, getting outscored 25-11 over the last 6:37 of the first to flip a game that was in control. The good thing about the SEC is that opportunity knocks each day anew. A win over the Vols, who are already safely in the field, would prop up Mizzou quite nicely.
Does that mean Mizzou can actually get it done? That remains to be seen. However, there will be a ton of juice in the building when Tennessee comes to town, and Mizzou will likely try to heat up a Tennessee offense that doesn’t value possession of the basketball. The Vols are 256th in turnover rate, per KenPom, coughing the ball up on 17.9% of their possessions this season. They have the worst turnover percentage of any team in the SEC during league play, and 61% of those turnovers come off steals โ one of the worst marks in basketball. The Tigers have fast hands on defense, with T.O. Barrett usually playing the role of thief. He only played 19 minutes due to foul trouble in the Arkansas game, but in the 10 previous games, he averaged 30 minutes a night and had multiple steals 7 times.

Auburn F KeShawn Murphy higher than 12.5 points at Oklahoma
Auburn snapped a 5-game losing streak by beating Kentucky over the weekend, and it may have rescued its season in the process. But with a 15-12 record, the Tigers are living life on the absolute edge of the NCAA tourney bubble and cannot afford to absorb any more defeats. They might already have too many losses as is. A loss to 13-14 Oklahoma could effectively end the bid. There should be no hangover from the 1-point win over the Wildcats.
Expect Auburn to pound Oklahoma inside. The Sooners are a bad rebounding team and have been bullied by opponents with physical interior presences. The 6-foot-10, 245-pound KeShawn Murphy is just that. He’s coming off a 25-point, 10-rebound game against Kentucky, his second 20-10 game in Auburn’s last 3. Murphy has double-digit boards in 4 of his last 5 and 3 double-doubles across the stretch. Second-chance opportunities should be there for a guy who normally gobbles up offensive rebounds.
