The 2026 NBA Draft continues Wednesday night at 8 p.m. with the New York Knicks set to select first in Round 2.
Shortly following the conclusion of Round 1, ESPN revealed its Round 2 Mock Draft. Five former SEC stars were selected on Tuesday night, and ESPN thinks 5 more are set to come off the board, starting with Arkansas’s Meleek Thomas.
Thomas perhaps had the most unfortunate draft night of any prospect. The former 5-star was projected to be selected in the first round in several previous mock drafts but instead went unpicked and is among the best available heading into Wednesday night. ESPN has the former Razorback heading to Cleveland to join the Cavaliers at No. 34 overall.
Next up from the SEC, ESPN has the Miami Heat taking former Tennessee center Felix Okpara at No. 41, a pick they acquired via Golden State. Okpara, an excellent defender, has been a late riser and could be an intriguing addition for the Heat behind Bam Adebayo.
Here’s a look at where ESPN has the other SEC stars landing:
- No. 42: Ja’Kobi Gillespie, Tennessee — San Antonio Spurs (via Portland)
- No. 44: Trevon Brazile, Arkansas — San Antonio Spurs (via Miami)
- No. 55: Tyler Tanner, Vanderbilt — New York Knicks
Ethan Stone is a Tennessee graduate and loves all things college football and college basketball. Firm believer in fouling while up 3.
