A prominent Florida booster has made a big donation to Gator basketball after the program’s national championship.

NIL collective Florida Victorious announced Wednesday that Gator booster Gary Condron is giving $1 million to the basketball program.

Many Florida fans are familiar with Condron. A former pitcher with the UF baseball team, his support for the program led to Florida Ballpark being renamed Condron Family Ballpark in 2022. The $8 million donation to rename the stadium put his contributions to Florida at over $30 million in 2022. Condron’s name is also on the building of Florida football’s indoor practice facility, which opened in 2015.

Condron’s financial support comes at a valuable time. While Todd Golden and the Gators were busy winning the NCAA Tournament, the transfer portal was in full swing with players finding new teams for 2025-26.

Golden is sure to be looking to the portal as Florida replaces its trio of starting guards, Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin and Will Richard, all players who came to UF via the portal. Denzel Aberdeen, Urban Klavzar and Isaiah Brown are likely in line for more playing time, but an addition like Xaivian Lee would go a long way in boosting the Gators’ hopes of a repeat.
