Have you ever heard of anybody you know being a lambatarian? Probably not, considering it’s a made-up word for, apparently, a not-so-made-up diet.

Don’t tell that to Kentucky Wildcats guard Zoom Diallo, though. On Wednesday, while speaking with the SEC Now crew at this week’s SEC Tipoff event, Diallo revealed that he considers himself a lambatarian, and that he only eats lamb.

“I’m a lambatarian right now,” Diallo said. “You know what that means? I only cook lamb. Lamb chops.”

When asked why, Diallo simply responded, almost exasperated, “I love lamb.”

Dylan Harper, who stars for the San Antonio Spurs, first mentioned the idea of being “lambetarian” (note the spelling) in an Instagram video posted in 2025. A quick Google search turned up no other mention of the phrase.

Whatever he eats, we’re sure Kentucky fans will be A-okay with Diallo’s diet so long as it translates to on-court success. The Washington is one of several transfers brough into the fray by Kentucky head coach Mark Pope, who is looking to return the Cats to national prominence after falling in the Round of 32 last season.

Kentucky is set to tip off its 2026-27 campaign on Tuesday, Nov. 3 against Manhattan.
