LSU and Matt McMahon are looking for a bounce back season after a tough 2024 year where they lost 16 of their last 19 games. While they need to do a better job on the court this upcoming season, bringing in big time talent for the future is also key.
On Sunday, the Tigers did just that, as 4-star wing Herly Brutus announced that he was going to LSU.
Brutus chose LSU over other schools such as Gonzaga, Utah, South Florida, Saint Louis and Kansas State.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Brutus is the No. 97 player in the class and the No. 17 player in the state of Florida. He has terrific size at 6-foot-7, and has the ability to make plays on both ends of the court
The Tigers are putting an emphasis on the wing in the 2026 class, as their other commit is 6-foot-8 small forward Marcus Vaughns.
LSU is still a month away from the start of the season, as the Tigers host Tarleton State on November 5.
