Oklahoma basketball lands commitment from 4-star guard, potential starter
Oklahoma has made a big addition to its 2026-27 roster.
The Sooners have picked up a commitment from 4-star guard Quincy Wadley, one of the top remaining uncommitted high school recruits in this cycle. On3’s Joe Tipton was first to share that news on Friday afternoon:
Wadley will have a chance to be among Oklahoma‘s most important players next season as a true freshman. The Sooners are losing starting point guard Nijel Pack, so it’s possible Wadley could start alongside Xzayvier Brown in the back court.

Wadley is the No. 52 overall player and the No. 9 shooting guard in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He chose Oklahoma over finalists LSU and Cincinnati.
In addition to Wadley and Brown, the Sooners are set to return Derrion Reid and Kai Rogers in the front court. Porter Moser and his staff have also earned transfer commitments from players such as Pop Isaacs, Tyler Hendricks and Yaak Yaak, among others.
Oklahoma just missed out on the NCAA Tournament this past spring but will be hoping to reach the Big Dance again in 2027.
